The ZCC5090EA is a boost charging management IC specifically designed for the series application of dual-cell lithium batteries, featuring notable characteristics. This chip has an input voltage of 5V and can provide a maximum charging current of 1.5A, meeting the needs for fast charging. The ZCC5090EA integrates power MOS and uses an asynchronous switch architecture, which requires very few peripheral components when applied, effectively reducing the overall solution size and lowering BOM costs. Its boost switch charging converter operates at a frequency of 500KHz with a conversion efficiency of 90%. Additionally, the ZCC5090EA has four built-in loops to control the charging process, namely the constant current (CC) loop, constant voltage (CV) loop, chip temperature regulation loop, and an intelligent charging current adjustment loop that prevents overloading the adapter output and matches the input of all adapters with an adaptive loop. The ZCC5090EA integrates a 30V OVP function, and its input port can stably and reliably withstand voltage surges up to 30V, stopping charging when the input exceeds 6V, making it particularly suitable for applications with TYPE-C interfaces. At the same time, the chip's BAT output port can withstand 30V, greatly enhancing the system's reliability. The ZCC5090EA offers a compact ESOP8L package type for customer selection, with a rated operating temperature range of -40℃ to 85℃.
